- Sterile, single use only – do not re-sterilise or reuse. Do not use if the package is damaged or opened. Do not re-insert the needle into the catheter after withdrawal (risk of catheter shearing and embolism). Dispose of the needle in a sharps container immediately after use. Not for use in arteries. Replace the cannula according to local protocol or if signs of phlebitis, infiltration or infection appear. Latex-free. Keep out of reach of children.
